INVESTIGATION OF DETECTION TECHNIQUE FOR MODIFIED DOUBLE WEIGHT CODE OF INCOHERENT SPECTRAL-AMPLITUDE-CODING OCDMA SYSTEM

This paper investigates the performance of Modified Double Weight (MDW) code for spectral-amplitude-coding OCDMA (SAC-OCDMA) system using a new proposed spectral direct detection technique. MDW is a Double Weight (DW) code family variation that has variable weight of greater than two. Utilising broadband source will make OCDMA system very attractive and cheap for access network environment as well as to maintain good BER performance. The theory is being elaborated and experimental simulation results are also presented in this paper. The experimental simulation results show that the proposed new spectral direct detection technique improves the performance compared to complementary subtraction technique.
