ULTRASONIC SENSORS BASED ON FIBRE GRATING LASERS (Invited Paper)

Fibre grating lasers for detection of ultrasonic Lamb waves are developed. The characteristics of sensors using different type of fibre lasers are analyzed, and their limitations for applications of monitoring of structural health are identified.
