Real-time strain monitoring using BOTDR

摘要：

A new method of real-time strain monitoring using Brillouin optical time domain reflectometer (BOTDR) is pro-posed.In the proposed method, it only takes several seconds for the BOTDR to complete one measurement due to utilizing single frequency scanning. The principle of the method is described and its feasibility is verified by experimental results. In addition, the error sources of the new method are discussed and error factors in different situation are given.
