Turbo Decoder Early Detection Based on Density Evolution

摘要：

In maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) decoding of Turbo code, the density evolution of decoders internal variable α is shown to evolve to stability as the number of iteration increases. In this paper a new block-oriented early detection stopping criterion is derived from this property.Simulation results show that the bit error rate performance would drop almost negligibly if the criterion parameters are carefully chosen.
