Decoding Binary Quadratic Residue Codes Using Syndrome Polynomial

A simplified algorithm for decoding binary quadratic residue codes is developed in this paper. The key ideas behind the decoding technique are based on syndrome polynomial. The developed algorithm determines the error locations directly from the syndrome polynomial without solving for error-locator polynomial. Finally, a full computer simulation was executed successfully.
