PQR: A Deadlock-Free Adaptive Routing Scheme Supporting Prioritized Traffic in Torus Switching Fabric
To support traffic with different priorities, Torus networks are required to provide high throughput as well as low latency for high priority traffic. We propose Priority Quadrant Routing (PQR), which is a deadlock-free and adaptive routing algorithm. Simulation results show that PQR can achieve higher throughput than DOR, *-channel and GOAL on uniform random and random permutation traffic patterns. Also, PQR can provide low latency for high priority traffic.
