A Novel Modified Particle Swarm Optimization

摘要：

Based on the analysis of social psychology of particle swarm optimization (PSO)，a modified PSO is presented，in which a new parameter is introduced and then the formula for flying velocity of the particle is changed，resulting in the particle stochastically flying to a difierent position．The simulations for 5 benchmark functions indicate that the modified PSO can dramatically improve the search ability including efficiency and convergence，especially for high dimension and complex functions if only the new parameter isselected properly.
