Numerical Calculations of Composite Solid Propellant Combustion

The paper describes the steady state combustion calculations of AP-HTPB (ammonium perchlorate-hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene) based composite propellants. The combustion model is baaed on eight nonlinear equations with same number of variables. Newtons method is employed to solve nonlinear equations for convergence of the solution to steady-state results. Calculated results of burning rate and pressure exponent showed a good agreement with the experimental data up to the pressure of 200 bars.
