A Shift Hermite Spectral Method for the Generalized Korteweg-de Vries Equation
A shift Hermite spectral method for the generalized Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation in unbounded domains is presented. The method is motivated by the unsymmetrical property of the third-order differential equation. This approach is of better stability and numerical experiments show that the shift test function plays an important role in stabilizing the scheme.
