TRUST: THE FACILITATOR OF ELECTRONIC COMMERCE

Trust played and is playing an important role in economic development. In the new era, it plays an even vital role in successful growth of electronic commerce. The paper firstly discusses the definition of trust through investigating related papers, then proposes the notion of online trust, with which the functions trust plays in the e-commerce are cleared.
