A SIMPLE AND EFFICIENT PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION SCHEME
The password identity authentication mechanism has been widely used in distributed network environment. However, the traditional password authentication schemes are vulnerable to be attacked by dictionary attack, replay attack and denial of service attack. Based on the SAS protocol pro posed by Sandirigara etc., this paper presents a simple and efficient password authentication scheme that can resist dictionary, replay, denial of service attacks, and comparatively minimize the computation and communication.
