ASSESSMENT OF SECURITY OF 802.11b
The deployment of wireless networking systems is proceeding rapidly. There are several different wireless networking technical standards. Currently the IEEE 802. 11b standard is widely used. In 2000,802. 11b became the standard wireless Ethernet networking technology for both business and home. In this paper I will focus on IEEE 802. 11b standard. In the first section, I will overview the IEEE 802. 11b; In the second section, I will discuss the security of 802. 11b; In the third section, I will list the vulnerabilities of 802. 11b; In the fourth section, I will put forward the solutions to the vulnerabilities of 802.11ib security; In the end, I will do a research to prove how the vulnerabilities of 802. 11b are.
