APPLICATION OF REAL OPTION APPROACH IN E-COMMERCE INVESTMENT
Due to great business potential in E-Commerce investment, standard discount cash flow techniques(DCF)such as NPV, together with more traditional method such as ROI is not an appropriate technique to evaluate the project value. Consequently, a new approach-Real Option-should be applied. Based on the characteristic of investment in E-Commerce, this paper analyses the function and advantages of Real Option and the differences between the NPV and Real Option.
