STRATEGIC CHALLENGES FOR E-BANKING IN CHINA AND ITS SOLUTION

E-banking brings revolutionary effects upon the traditional banking system and it taps huge number of final users in China. However, Chinas E-banking industry is characterized by various symptoms. The underlying focus of such symptoms are rooted in the fact that Chinas E-banking lack of strategic management for E-banking industry. With in - depth implementing of WTO commitment and much more openness in banking sector in China, the strategic challenges are impending and they set a sword of Damocles over the Chinas E-banking industry. This paper follows the approach of strategic management to analyze the strategic environment, the position, mission and approaching strategy of Chinas E-banking industry. Especially, besides the product approach and service approach, this paper initiatively specifies the e-banking industrial standard approach and thus provides a more complete strategic solution to Chinas E-banking industry.
