A NEW E-BUSINESS IDENTITY AUTHENTICATION TECHNIQUE BASED ON FRAGILE WATERMARKING

As the trading could not be done face to face because of the specificity of E-business, it is necessary for either side to verify the other sides identity when exchanging sensitive information or doing some other sensitive operation. The traditional way of authenticating a user is based on users name and password, which are transported in the form of plain text or encrypted text. And the information could be easily captured, cracked and forged by attackers. In this paper, we propose an Identity authentication technique based on fragile watermarking, which can encrypt the unique user identity mark that will be used in trading, and hide it in corresponding carrier file in the form of fragile watermarking, thus establishes a secure transporting channel for secure sensitive data such as identity information and transaction details. This technique has the following advantages:implementing invisible transport of identity information, distorting the hidden information if the carrier file has embedded with sensitive information that is illegal, tampered, thus keeping information away from attack, making identity authentication mechanism much harder to be cracked and not be able to forge at all. It provides strong technical support for secure interaction of future e-business users sensitive information.
