Make Efforts to Choose Dredging and Cleaning Equipment to Provide Normal Operation of Three Gorge Project(TGP) Works
The Three Gorge Project (TCP) is a comprehensive multipurpose hydro-project offeriag many enomous benefits. It will have 26 generating units with a total installed capacity of 18200MW and become the biggest hydropower project all over the world after haviag been built and generated. The Yangtze River is a long flowing through six proviaces and covering drainage area of million km2, most of which are famous scenery and tourism spts. Due to big amount of deposition in front of dam, to dredge up to 115m of depth is the key problem for constructing the isolating dam in upstream uvigatioa works by ttagu tad by mew of fill contracting. So far we havent used high depth dredger. Moreover there will be a large nuamber of floating driftage in the front of dam at every flood time. At present there are not yet cleaning equipments of advanced floater in hydropower stations. The TCP will be soon water-accumulated and power-generated. So to choose deep water dredging and floater cleaning equipmeat for normal operation of TCP is urgent needed.
