Conversion Design for 12,000m3 Large Size Hopper Dredger

摘要：

Devcloping a large size new hopper dredger need to invest several hundred million RMB and need long construction period. A creative idea is formed and proposed by Shanghai Waterway Bureau (SHWB) that is conversion of cargo ship into hopper dredger instead of new construction. The objective of conversion with less cost and short period is successfully achieved in the end to satisfy with dredging market urgent demand in time. This paper intend to introduce the conversion design of the hopper dredger named New Sea Elephant
