The LOG_aDSLP(R)-Echosounder-New TechnologyFor Dredging Management
The LOG_aDSLP(R) -Echosounder-Method describes a new innovative method for hydrographic surveying. The LOG_aDSLP(R) -Echosounder is based on a new concept and is independent of utilized frequencies as well as independent of core sampling. Only the frequency-independent method makes it possible to proof the layer-interfaces and the material-stages fluid and solid. Because of this, the performance parameters of high resolution detection are 3 cm in field use. The physically proof of the sequence and thicknesses of individual suspensions-, transitions- and sediment layers are achieved. The LOG_aDSLP(R) -Echosounder was developed by Eden, Vorrath & Partner, Kiel, Germany. The performance of the LOG_aDSLP(R) -method is presented by various results from different locations of the North and Baltic seas. Suspensions and consolidated sediment layers with thicknesses less than 5 cm were be proven, as well as physically definite classifications of sediment layers have been made up to a depth of 25m below solid bottom.
