Recycling Method for Dredged Material
In Japan in recent yean, people are more concerned than ever about environmental problems including pollution of water, air and soil. Necessity to establish recycling society which efficiently reuses resources is being addressed. Under the circumstances, the Construction Recycling Act was instituted in May 2000, facilitating the effective reuse of construction waste generated at various construction sites.In case of dredged material however, which is the subject matter of this paper, although the Construction Recycling Act is not applied to, it has become more difficult than ever to find the landfill having enough space to dispose of the soil, so thetechnology to reuse the soil is actively being studied and developed.Our company has been engaged in the research and development of the effective technology to recycle the dredged material for a long time, and applied tbe technology to the actual construction sites several times. The purpose of tins paper is to introduce these technologies.
