The technical evaluation of the dredging technique in a contaminated river
The technical evahtatioa of the different dredger buckets is presented in this paper. The dredging operations will cause changes in the flow field and the local erosion can be determined. The resuspension is analysed using the flow hydraulic- and sediment transport-theory. The open and enclosed watertight backhoe backet, pumping bucket and enclosed watertight clamshell bocket of the hydraulic dredger were studied and compered.
