Principles and Dynamic Optimization of the Yangtze Estuary Deepwater Channel Regulation Project
more man four decades systematic researches and studies, the principles of the Yangtze estuary deepwater channel regulation project have been formulated. One of them is that two regulation methods, namely regulation structures and dredging, should be applied together and combined so that the navigational channel can be deepened from CD (Chart Datum) -7.0m to CD-12.5m. The project will be implemented in three phases. During the first phase construction some regulation works have been dynamically adjusted and optimized so that the phase objective of the channel depth CD-8.5m can be achieved successfully. Based on this, it can be concluded that the mechanism of dynamic optimization is reasonable, practicable and scientific, which is a valuable experience for the further implementation of the project in the second and third phases, and also for the other similar regulation projects.
