Prospects of Success of the Energetic Utilization of Biomass In China
This paper summarizes the situation and challenges of Chinas energy sector. The rede of biomass in China is analyzed, based on availability of biomass, the conversion characteristics and the problems in its utilization of biomass. The status of progress of applying different technologies for energetic utilization of biomass is reviewed. It is shown that China is, doubt lessly, the potential leading nation in utilization of biomaas for a sustainable development. Currently, the development of a market for commercial utilization of bio-energy in China is still at the beginning stage. Production of energy from biomass has attracted much attention. However, many new challenges have to be faced, which provides good opportunities for cooperation between Chinese academy and industry with developed countries to share their experiences in biomass utilization.
