A Modified Nonlinear Optimization Method for MEG Source Localization
Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a noninvastve technique for investigating neuronal activity in the living human brain, being of good time and spatial resolution. This paper discusses MEGs basic theory. The key question in the analysis is the search for the unknown sources by analysis of the measured magnetic field data. In view of this inverse problem not having the unique solution, adding some restrictions can make the unique inverse solution possible. In this paper, nonlinear optimization methods are used to estimate the dipole parameters. Here, in order to improve the convergent speed and accuracy, we present a new synthesis method. Computer simulation demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
