Modelling Chronic Pain: an Initial Survey
This paper is an initial survey of the problem of modelling chronic pain. Physiological and mathematical models of pain in general are examined but found to be unable to model chronic pain. The discussion then looks at the possibility of using chaotic neural networks as a more likely candidate, particularly with the inclusion of gas nets which model the way in which Nitric Oxide is used in neural transmission.
