Aim: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of TCM prescription in the treatment of chronic cerebral circulation insufficiency. Methods: The Chinese knowledge network, the Wanfang database, the Chinese biomedical data,Embase,Pubmed and Cochrane Library were retrieved, and the randomized controlled clinical trials published in March 2015 were searched.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the literature was screened, the quality of literature was evaluated, the literature data were extracted, and meta-analysis was carried out by RevMan5.3 software. Results: a total of 23 literature and 2091 patients were included. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the effective rate of TCM Decoction on chronic cerebral insufficiency was significantly higher than that of the control group,”OR=4.24,95%CI (3.25,5.52),and P<0.00001”,with statistical significance.Funnel plot shows that publication bias may exist.Sensitivity analysis indicates that meta-analysis is stable. Conclusion: the clinical efficacy of individualized and dialectical Chinese herbal decoction in the treatment of chronic cerebral blood supply is better than that of Western medicine alone.Due to some limitations, the conclusion of this study still needs to be verified by high-quality clinical trials.
