The Impact of Internet Utilization on Subjective Social Justice in China
This study utilizes household survey datasets to empirically evaluate the impact of Internet utilization on subjective social justice in China.Empirical evidence supports that Internet utilization generates a significant negative effect on perceived social justice (in general,-6%).Residents that use the Internet more frequently exhibit lower level of perceived social fairness. And the negative marginal effect is stronger among rural residents. For robustness checking, multi-level estimations with aggregated measures, comparison tests with traditional media and new data source are applied and the results consistently support our findings.
