2D Floor Plan Map of Indoor Environment Segmentation

  Nowadays due to the advancement of technology, especially in the field of computer science,quality of the maps, resolution as well as the image details, has been remarkable.Although having a more detailed map provides more information about the environment, it makes it even more difficult to understand.Due to these reasons, the segmentation of map of an indoor environment to the smaller meaningful regions such as room, corridor and etc.can be helpful for making a better understanding of it.In this paper, we design a method based on the topological information of the 2D floor plan map to address the segmentation problem.The proposed method is fully automatic and does not need any pretrained data or any command by user.The experiment result demonstrate that the proposed method improves system performance by reducing runtime, fast computation, and easy implementation.
