Experimental investigation on anchorage performance of bolts with different structures

  In order to analyze the supporting effect of bolts with different structures on the surrounding rock in different conditions, pull-out tests, based on the thick-walled cylinder theory, were carried out for the sinistral and dextral rebar bolt specimens with the spacing of 12 mm,24 mm,36 mm,and 48 mm,which the specimens were anchored in the steel sleeves whose wall thickness were respectively 5.5 mm and 7.0 mm.The anchorage performance of different structural types of bolts to different conditions of surrounding rock were discussed by analyzing the drawing force, the dilatancy displacement, the circumferential strain of the sleeves,and the energy absorption.Experimental results show that the amount of energy absorption and the dilatancy displacement both increase with the increasing of the rib spacing.The drawing force, dilatancy displacement and energy absorption of the dextral rebar bolts are respectively 1.1~ 1.4,1.2 ~ 2.7,1.1 ~ 1.6times of the sinistral bolts with the same rib spacing.In other words, although the rib spacing is same,the drawing force of the dextral bolts with higher rid height and wider rid width is larger,and moreover, they have stronger ability to hold force and absorb energy.While the sleeve circumferential strain of the sinistral bolts is 1.2~2.8 times of that of the dextral bolts.Therefore, the sinistral bolts with larger rib spacing are better to control the deformation of the surrounding rock in the soft rock roadway.The increase of rib spacing can improve the anchorage performance, and the arrangement of ribs, rib height and rid width are also important factors.
