Investigations into the impacts on coal-rock body gas pressure release exercised by selection of different mining parameters for soft rock protective seam
By taking the non-adaptable coal seam as the condition for mining the protective seam, the gas control plan is put forward with the soft rock seam selected as the protective seam for mining.By turning to numerical simulation,investigations are conducted into the impacts on the overburden gas pressure release exercised by the thickness and interseam distance of the soft rock protective seam under mining.The research results indicate that the thickness and interseam distance of protective seam will exercise direct impacts on coal-rock body gas pressure release.Specifically speaking, when the interseam distance for the protective seam is fixed as a constant, with the increase of mining depth, the pressure release for the protected seam will gradually increase.When the mining thickness is fixed as a constant, with the increase of the interseam distance of protective seam, the stress release will decrease gradually.Under simulated mining conditions, when the mining thickness exceeds 4m, the height for the overburden critical pressure release will increase to a less extent.Our research results were applied to the mining of the soft rock protective seam in Luling Mine.The mining practice shows that it is suitable to locate the protective seam in the gray mudstone section.With Seams No.8 and No.9 chosen as the protected seams,investigations were conducted into their gas extraction and the protection effects at the hole cutting position.The results prove that it is appropriate to select the interseam distance of 59 m and the mining thickness of 2 m as the designing parameters for the protective seam.
