Fully-mechanized top caving technology of longwall working face with variable dip angle in steeply inclined extra thick seam

It is significant task for steeply inclined extra thick coal seam with variable dip angle to develop the technical mining.Comprehensive methods of in-situ testing, creating physical simulation model and theoretical analysis have been applied for researching on surrounding rock deformation features, mining layout, supports working state, and three machines selection et al.,during the mining process of No.120210 working face in Zaoquan Coal Mine. The results show that overburden rock migration behaviors present obvious regional feathers, the support loading is regional and unbalanced. The layout of false-inclined working face with variable angle have been applied in situ. Then, local controlling of supports working resistance stress and top coal caving are taken for reducing failure scope of overburden rock stratum.Meanwhile, extraction technology is more simplified and it promote the stability of supporting system.Statistically, the highest production of working face is monthly 344,900 tons and extraction coefficient reach at 85.86 %.
