The innovative ships for navigation in Arctic seas

The prospects for navigation in Arctic and freezing seas are the basis for shaping the demand for innovative shipbuilding, including the creation of new classes of ships in addition to the improvement of shipyards, plants for production of the marine engineering equipment for ships under construction, and including the development of universities and other educational and scientific centers. The international cooperation is of great importance, especially for neighboring countries, such as China and Russia, particularly in Far East of Russia and in Eastern Arctic, as well as in the areas of economic interests and Arctic territories social development for operating of marine cargo traffics and marine resources development, taking into account the extent of land and water areas in Arctic, the great industrial potential, the successful research and training activities. This cooperation takes into account the achievements of each of the partners and allows them to achieve new results without competing, that is, to develop projects and create new types of ships for operation in Arctic and freezing seas and to manufacture innovative equipment for ships are being constructed, to fulfill the required scientific research, to improve shipyards and to renew their equipment, to improve the skill level of employees in shipbuilding and in Arctic navigation and to achieve other important results.New-constructed innovative ships for Arctic seas navigation, such as the icebreakers with diesel-electric power units, the icebreakers with nuclear power plants, the multi-purpose icebreakers, the cargo ships with the appropriate ice-class, the research vessels for the Arctic seas, the floating power plants, drilling platforms for gas and oil production on the offshore in freezing seas and the other types of innovative ships are common object for uniting the efforts of specialists from different professions, the activities of enterprises of different industries and of different countries. The definite similarity is characteristic for shipbuilding industry in Russia and in some of other good industrialized countries, which for, however, the batch shipbuilding is not characteristic. The motivation for shipbuilding in these countries would be the consolidated demand of the non-standard innovative ships, that are constructed singly or in small series.
