A Novel Starter Control Design For More Electric Aircraft
This paper deals with a control design for an electric starter system which is utilized on More Electric Aircrafts (MEA).The recent advances in modern power electronics make it possible to use a novel type of machine into the main power flow path.Based on Variable Frequency (VF) Electric Power System (EPS), the control system is established in starting mode.The paper gives a good insight into the plant”s dynamic properties of closed loop for flux weakening control.Current loop and speed loop control are also designed.The range of the gain which is for field weakening controller is derived, and simulation of closed loop step response for the field weakening controller is developed.
