Control Design for PMM-based Generator in More Electric Aircraft
The trend of aircraft electrical power system is expected to be safer, more efficient, simpler and less maintenance time.It results that many hydraulic and pneumatic power driven systems are being replaced by the electrical systems.The More Electric Aircrafts (MEA) come out of these trends and requirements.The concept of the Starter/Generator is one of the advance of modem power systems.The S/G technology makes it possible to achieve the start and generation of the aircraft system using the same machine.The generator is dictated by the aircraft engine and loads of electrics which are connected to the controllers.The controllers are needed to be designed to obtain the plants meeting all the operating points.The range of the gain which is for field weakening controller is derived and simulation is developed.Similar process is done for DC link voltage controller.All the simulation outcome are verified in Simulink.
