Research on Innovative Screening Tool aid to Artificial Neural Networks for Thermal EOR Methods in Heavy or Extra-Heavy Oilfields

Thermal EOR methods are mandatory to efficiently develop and optimize production of heavy or extra-heavy oil fields.For these reason,it is necessary to carefully select the method to implement given each particular reservoir features,so a thermal EOR screening tool was developed for heavy and extra heavy oil with the aid of Artificial Neural Networks,by selecting among the most popular methods EOR innovative thermal world: Steam Flooding,Cycle Steam Stimulation,Horizontal Assisted Steam Drive,Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage and In situ Combustion.This paper presents the results of apply ANN screening tool in EOR methods and it can be used in prediction of EOR implementations successfully with a greater degree of certainty and feasibility to take into account in asset evaluation,developments plans and economic evaluations of oil and gas fields projects,and make the comparison with EOR thermal method implemented for proposed field with no EOR implementation,prior to support the usage of this tool in decisions-making in an integrated fields management.
