Research and Application of Multiphase Flow Virtual Online Metering Systems

A multiphase flow virtual online metering system for oil well production is proposed in this paper according to the features of oil-water-gas multiphase flow and the requirements of single well metering.The working principle,system design,improvement in throttle,test method of water content,laboratory assay and field application are discussed in this paper.The modification,compensation and optimization of flow calculation model are processed for the features of multiphase flow; the working principle of “radio frequency method” is applied in water content test,which can reduce the impact from gas and wax containing on metering accuracy and realize online real-time water content monitoring; the improvement of throttling element makes the throttling pressure losses be less than 0.06MPa,which can improve the calculation accuracy of liquid measurement; the internet of things(IOT)technology is applied in building an intelligent virtual system to realize real-time online metering of oil production and analysis of working condition.The application of this system in oil wells with different working conditions in Sinopec Shengli oilfield shows that the metering error is within 5.0%,which improves the intelligent level and the accuracy of liquid-producing metering in single well.
