The Study of Thermal Management and Control Strategy Based on the Transient System Model
In this paper,a model of engine, vehicle dynamic, cooling system, engine block, lubrication system and underhood has been established, furthermore, based on energy conservation law on the implementation of the system coupling model in the same platform under the common real-time simulation. This system model can simulate the vehicle transient conditions, accurate calculation indicates the power of the engine exhaust temperature, cooling and heat exchange, and on the basis of the simulation of cooling system and lubrication system calculation, finally evaluate the performance and fuel consumption of the engine. To provide boundary conditions for the simulation model and test data calibration, special experiments were carried out, including engine bench test, radiator perform-ance test and vehicle fuel consumption test. Finally,on the basis of a calibrated system model, the optimization control scheme of the electronic water pump, the PWM fan and the electronic thermostat are studied. In the ideal state, the scheme of electronic thermostat can get 3%fuel consumption, while the scheme of PWM fan couple with electronic water pump can get 5%fuel consumption.
