Vehicle Speed Guidance Method at Signalized Intersection Based on Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure System

  In order to reduce vehicle stopping time through the traffic light intersection,this paper studies speed guidance method based on Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure System.Because it is difficult to obtain real-time queue length data of intersection in China”s third-tier cities sometimes,the paper designs vehicular traffic signal reminder system and establishes a speed guidance model for indi-vidual vehicles.For validating the model,the paper chooses the intersection of Hengshan Road and North Fengming Lake Road as study object in Wuhu,Anhui Province.The traffic light data of the intersection is collected by the vehicular traffic signal reminder system.The simulation experiments using the acquired data are done by software VISSIM.The simulation results demonstrate that the methods under high and low traffic flow can effectively decrease the stopping time,reducing average ratio in the through and right-turn lane is 16.3%and 8.3%,respectively,and the effect under high traffic flow is better than that under low traffic flow.
