Influnence of Head Restraint on Neck Injury in Whiplash Test
The severity of the whiplash injury is highly valued, NCAP assessment program all over the world have been included whiplash test. In China, CNCAP added whiplash test in 2012, and has been upgraded twice. The difficulty of whiplash test in the latest 2018 version has been improved, so the manufactures should respond to upgrade product. This paper focuses on the head restraint posi- tion, support posture and head restraint foamstiffness, discuss their influence on neck injury in whiplash test, to point the direction and reference for product development and performance improvement.
