ESD Failure Analysis and Correction of a Plastic Housing Electronic Control UNIT

摘要：

　　A plastic housing ECU(Electronic Control Unit)failed during electrostatic discharge(ESD)tests. Problem causes analysis was made and the solution that adjusting positions of sensitive traces and components on PCB of the ECU was used. Utilizing this effective solution, which minimized the cost, ESD review test was passed. Accordingly, hardware design specifications and checklists were improved, simultaneously, the ESD test specification and precautions were improved as well.
