Timeshare Car Rental Business Model in China:Current Situation, Features and Suggestion
This paper reviews the development of timeshare car rental(TCR)business model in China, and analyses the opera- tion mode, service process, vehicle source, charging system of TCR projects underway now. These projects are always dominated by multiple forces, such as OEMs domestic or overseas, mobility service providers and so on. Based on some specific cases, we discuss the main problems of these projects. At last, in view of these challenges, this paper puts forward some suggestions for the expansion of TCR business model, including how to choose target cities, optimize service process and vehicle management, improve operation plan and niche market.
