Project learning approach for ICT integration into primary school mathematics:A Hong Kong case study
This case study research attempts to examine the project learning approach for teaching mathematics with information communication technology(ICT)in a primary school in Hong Kong.The study uses the review of action research in the school and analyses how ICT has been merged into the teaching of mathematics.From the review of documents and interviews with students and teachers in the school,the findings seem to suggest primary students have competence to write computer program.However,the core ICT curriculum may not response to the rapid development of technology.This case study illuminates the effectiveness of students” programming learning by project approach.This case study also suggests educators to review the curriculum for future.
