Effect of Constructed Wetland on Thermal Environment of Buildings in High Density Cities
This thesis focuses on how constructed wetland improve the thermal environment in high density cities.The accelerating development of cities has led to the a high consumption of water resources as well as produced a large number of waste water.However,constructed wetland can serve as a beneficial alternative to traditional waste water systems,it integrates waste water treatment,flood proofing and landscape at the same time.Constructed wetland also has impacts on thermal conditions of buildings around,this essay focuses on what are the impacts produced by wetland and wetlands functions under different climates.Chooses a constructed wetland in Shanghai and research it through methods of questionnaire and measurements.Picking specific spots such as wetlands,lawns and parking lots while giving out questionnaires to people around to get subjective experience of how they felt about it.At the same time measure the temperature and humidity by electronic equipment.Through the analysis of the questionnaire and measurements,it is concluded that the feelings of the wetland under the same conditions are superior to other measurement points.
