Field study of thermal comfort for office buildings in Changsha,China
his research focuses on analyzing thermal environment and determining the occupants” thermal comfort in office buildings of the hot summer and cold winter climate zone of China.During summer 2016,thermal comfort field study were conducted.Totally 13 0ffice buildings were selected as target buildings and 442 valid questionnaires were collected.The investigated occupants reported their thermal sensations,perceptions and behaviors in questionnaires while their ambient thermal environment were measured simultaneously.To consider the effect of humidity and air speed on thermal perception,the SET*(standard effective temperature)was adopted in this research.Based on the field study,linear regression was determined for the relationship between thermal sensation and SET*.Therefore,the thermal neutral temperature was determined as 24.7 0C in SET*.The relationship between the thermal sensation and the SET* was identified as polynomial functions in aspect of thermal acceptance.The 80%upper acceptable temperature limit was determined as 28.2 0C in SET*.
