The neural mechanisms underlying the processing cost of false belief using: An ERP study
Previous studies have demonstrated that applying others” false belief seems to require substantial effort. To investigate the neural mechanism underlying the processing cost of false belief using, we recorded human event-related brain potentials (ERP) while participants performed the task of applying belief or image in a cued task-switching procedure.Evidences of two critical behavior control processes (task preparation and response selection) in applying others” false belief were present.Findings also support the ideal that right hemisphere than left hemisphere may be having a particularly specific role in theory of mind.
