Antioxidant activities and some characterizations of the polysaccharides from ultrasonic-circulating extract of Ganoderma sichuanense
This paper examined the antioxidant activities of G.sichuanense polysaccharides (GLPs) which were isolated by ultrasonic-circulating extraction (UCE).The results showed that the GLPs exhibited effective antioxidant actives in vivo, with protection against hepatocyte injury induced by CC14.Further study showed that GLP-U80 exhibited strongest in vitro antioxidant activity among the different fractions (GLP-U40, GLP-U60 and GLP-U80).FT-IR spectra of the four GLPs (GLP-UCE and its 3 fractions)revealed certain degree similarity.Assay of the monosaccharide composition of the four GLPs indicated that the fraction of GLP-U80 had different monosaccharide composition and was a hetero-polysaccharide rich in D-glucose.HPGPC analysis showed GLP-UCE had two different molecular peaks with area ratio of 7.06% and 92.94%, while GLP-U80 was a homogeneity polysaccharide and its” weight-average molecular mass (Mw) and polydispersity were 1.05× 104 g·mol-1 and 1.46, respectively. All these results suggested that low-molecular-weight polysaccharide(s) with narrow polydispersity from G.sichuanense could play an important role in the exploration of natural antioxidants.
