The Study of Subjects” Matching of Industry-University Collaborative Innovation--Based on the Perspective of Chengdu City
Whatever knowledge innovation or technology innovation,collaborative innovation is an important way to achieve innovation.The study takes Chinese universities and firms as research objects,screening 20 universities in Chengdu and 115 firms licensed with them from 2009 to 2012.Chengdu firms licensed with Chengdu universities,Chengdu firms licensed with non-Chengdu universities and non-Chengdu firms licensed with Chengdu universities are set as dependent variables,analyzing which factors effect on Chengdu firms or universities engaging in collaborative innovation.Independent variables are divided into four categories,characteristics of firms,characteristics of universities,relationship between firms and universities and external environment the firm lying in.Research indicates that(i)Familiarity has a negative effect on Model 1,while the effect of innovation environment in licensee”s province is positive.(ii)Firm”s age and property,universities” licensing agreements experience and geographic distance positively effects Model 2,whilst firm”s size,university”s level and government support of firm”s province give a negative sign.(iii)Firm”s absorptive capacity,universities” licensing agreements experience and geographic distance appear as statistically significant positive factors,while familiarity and firm”s external environment opposite with that in Model 3.
