The ”One belt, one road” initiative as a decisive step in achieving sustainable development
The complex and winding path to achieving sustainable development reflect the serious internal tensions in tackling that problem: The adoption of economic development as a separate pillar from social development challenges the view that the purpose of one is to achieve the other;economic valuation of the environment removes the distinction between environmental and economic goals;and no distinction is drawn between the development of developing countries and the development of developed ones. That inherent problem is quite successfully converged on and to a great extent solved by the initiative of the Chairman of the PRC from the autumn of 2013 ”One belt, one road”.The five principles of this initiative are, namely:Assistance for the development of transport and other basic infrastructure;Overcoming customs and other non-tariff barriers hindering trade relations;Development of a comprehensive system of agreements on free trade zone;Affirming the national currency in commercial accounts;Strengthening and development of humanitarian relations
