Loop electrosurgical excision procedure in conservative management of adenocarcinoma in situ of the uterine cervix.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of loop electrosurgical excisional procedure (LEEP) in conservative management of adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS) of the uterine cervix.Methods: Twenty-seven patients with histologically proven AIS were treated with LEEP from 2010 to December 2015.Data revewed included demographics, pretreatment cervicovaginal cytology and HPV test, biopsy results, pathology of LEEP and its margin status, subsequent need for reeonization or hysterectomy, and follow-up.All of these patients were followed for a mean period of 19.5 months (6～ 60months).The outcome of the treatment was reviewed.
