Fluorescent electrospun composite films for trace detection of heavy metal ions in aqueous environment
1.Introduction Heavy metal pollution is now a serious problem strongly influencing the ecological systems and human being.1 Different strategies have been developed to detect and monitor the trace amount of heavy metal ions, such as flame atomic absorption spectrometry,2 inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy3 and fluorescent chemosensors.4,5 Among them, the fluorescent chemosensors have attracted tremendous attentions because of their easy operation, rapidness and effectiveness, in addition to the high sensitivity.
