Fabrication of Stiff and Well-Intergrown MOF/Polymer Composite Membrane by Metal Based Gel
Metal based gel as versatile precursor was first employed to prepare stiff and integrated MOF/polymer membranes. The metal based gel was completely impregnated in/on polymer substrates, and resulted in the formation of continuous MOF crystals on the surface and in the pore of hollow fiber.By using this method, the stiffness of MOF/polymer composite membrane can be greatly improved through mutual support of MOF particles and substrates. The prepared membranes also exhibited remarkable gas separation performance with H2/N2 separation factor as high as 22.7.
